Reducing The Carbon Footprint Of The Internet
Beyond carbon-neutral - a whole new state of green...
A new web hosting company, based on Salt Spring Island, is set to become Canada's first carbon-free web host. He notes, "Of this, about 112.5 Billion kWh are used to power 'data centers', which are the servers that store all the websites."

This represents a lot of energy, and potentially a lot of CO2 emissions. What can be done to reduce the carbon footprint of the Internet? Handford has some suggestions for those willing to research the net itself for answers. "There are web hosting packages now available that are responding to the need to be 'carbon friendly'. Holiday Party...advice please

Hi,
I'm throwing a holiday party. I'm going to serve lots of appetizers and desserts. I have 2 questions
1) do you think it's okay if something like cocktail weenies wrapped in crescent rolls aren't hot? I mean they will be at the beginning, but not for long. I do have a buffet server that keeps things warm, but I think it will be full already
2) This is what I planned for the buffet server. Eggplant, Meatballs and sausage and peppers, then have some rolls if people wish to make sandwiches
Although I could use a crockpot for the meatballs and put the weenies in the server

If you're afraid of it looking funny you should perhaps not serve phallic shaped food. hahah
